STRUGGLING TO STAY AWAKE WHILE AT WORK!
STRUGGLING TO STAY AWAKE WHILE AT WORK?
Hey everyone! It's Monday again and it is important that we make the week fruitful. And trust me, to make this happen, then trust me, you need to completely delete SLEEP from your agenda.
If you are still struggling to keep awake during official hours, then here are some tips you should consider.
1. Retire as early as possible on Sunday or any other weekday because "early to bed, is early to rise"
2. Avoid heavy meals in the morning. Keep your breakfast as light as possible (vegetables sound perfect to start the day)
3. Throw some sweets or chewing-gums into your mouth as often as you feel bored or sleepy. They really do help in keeping the brain active
4. Listening to music while working (as long as you're not distracted by it) works wonders and can chase sleep very far away.
5. Take some wee breaks once in a while; you may decide to stroll to a colleague's desk or just stroll away to catch some fresh air
6. Work on constantly reminding your brain that your desk in not your bed and your office is not your bedroom and thus it (sleep) is not welcome to that environment.
TRY THESE SIMPLE STEPS AND HAVE YOURSELF A FRUITFUL WEEK because at Healthcare Delivery Foundation, your happiness is paramount!

8 Amazing health benefits of SLEEP!
8 Amazing
health benefits of SLEEP
1. IT IMPROVES MEMORY: Your mind is
surprisingly very busy while you’re awake and they all begin to process and at
this point they seem to be all over the place. During sleep you can strengthen these
memories through a process called consolidation. What this means is that if you’re
trying to learn something new, you will perform better AFTER sleeping!
2. MAKES YOU LIVE LONGER: A shorter life
span can be linked with too much or too little sleep. Having a good and average
sleep is largely important for a longer life so ensure you get enough sleep.
3.
STOPS INFLAMMATION: Inflammation is linked to heart disease, stroke,
diabetes, arthritis, and premature aging. A 2010 study found that C-reactive protein, which is associated with heart attack risk, was
higher in people who got six or fewer hours of sleep a night.
4. SPARKS UP CREATIVITY: Starting a day
after a good night sleep works like magic. In addition to consolidating
memories, or making them stronger, your brain appears to reorganize and
restructure them, which may result in more creativity as well.
5. SHARPENS ATTENTION: Lack of sleeps
wrecks your attention but a good sleep sharpens it.
6. AIDS WEIGHT LOSS: Researchers
at the University of Chicago found that dieters who were well rested lost more
fat—56% of their weight loss—than those who were sleep deprived, who lost more
muscle mass. (They shed similar amounts of total weight regardless of sleep.)
While planning to start a weight loss program, it is important to include a
healthy sleep routine.
7. LOWERS STRESS: A good and healthy sleep lowers stress and
relaxes your nerves.
8. CLEARS DEPRESSION: Sleeping
well means more to our overall well-being than simply avoiding irritability. Learn
to catch some sleep if you find yourself getting depressed.
